THIS IS an excellent time to check in to the Liberty Net — summertime static is disappearing and propagation is generally excellent. And the prime radio season coincides this year with the 40th anniversary of the most exciting net on amateur radio!

Here’s an abbreviated digest of a few of the topics debated this week:

• There’s a lot of talk from both the Right and Left about “jobs” — the best way to create them is disputed by the two sides, but both agree that we need more of them. But do we? Is more money-making and product-making activity always an unlimited good? Perhaps we should pay less attention to how much we are doing, and think more deeply about what we are actually trying to accomplish. (13 minutes)

• More and more corporations are now demanding (or are required to demand) proof of “who you are” via government-issued photo ID or “Social Security” number, before doing quite a number of simple transactions. It looks like the concept of privacy, especially financial privacy, is almost forgotten today. (15 minutes)

• In Canada, there’s a new rule that neither American nor domestic soldiers can wear their uniforms in public, for fear that an enraged Muslim might react violently at the sight. Better idea: Deport the non-White Muslim aliens and keep the uniforms — and bring our soldiers home from the wars for Israel that (justifiably) enrage the Muslims. (30 minutes)

• It’s outrageous to use the force of law punish those who do not want to associate with homosexuals. Freedom of association is one of our most precious rights. (36 minutes)

• UN Observers have been despatched to Detroit to investigate the potential “human rights violations” inherent in turning off the water of customers who haven’t paid the water company a cent in years. (49 minutes)

• A school district in Long Island is the just the latest of many being forced by the regime in Washington to accept illegal Mestizo invaders as students. (57 minutes)

Remember that you can receive the Liberty Net in the vicinity of 3950 kHz (recently, 3995 has been used often) and above every Saturday night at 10PM Eastern Time, Wednesdays at 10PM — and don’t forget the Survival Net at 10PM on Sundays. Or listen live on the Internet (see the two “Liberty Net Live” links in the left column of this site for two live streaming sites with associated discussion rooms). And you can listen at your leisure via the mp3 files posted here at https://3950.net every week.

Once again, thanks to W1WCR for running this important and historic discussion net — now in its 40th year — and thanks also to N2IRJ for making these recordings available.
