Liberty Net: April 2, 2011

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THERE SEEM TO BE more new stations checking into the Liberty Net every week; why not join them? Getting an amateur radio license is simpler than ever before, and inexpensive training courses and classes are widely available.

Here are just a few of the issues discussed and debated this week on amateur radio’s most exciting net:

• Why is the regime in Washington supporting al-Qaeda in Libya but supposedly fighting it in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq? (14 minutes)

• One of the most bizarre twists in the latest illegal war is that the US troops who were training Qaddafi’s forces had to be quickly evacuated so that other US troops could be brought in to attack those same forces. (18 minutes)

• Teachers and principals in Washington, DC have been getting $8,000 to $10,000 bonuses — with some $75 million in total awards — for producing “improved test scores.” But now an investigation has revealed — surprise, surprise — massive falsification and cheating on the tests in this nearly all-African school system. (21 minutes)

• The best US foreign policy would be that advocated by W1WCR: Get the US out of the Middle East and get the Middle East out of the US. (30 minutes)

• Why — immediately before the current economic crash — was the Federal Reserve lending huge sums to foreign banks? Could it be that some of these banks are among the secret stockholders of the Fed (the private ownership of which needs to be more widely known)? (44 minutes)

• “Outserve” is the name of a new magazine which is being marketed to military personnel who are  homosexuals or members of other abnormal “sexual minorities.” (1 hour 19 minutes)

• The current Republican talk of a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution is nothing but grandstanding. If the criminals in Washington refuse to obey the Constitution now, why would they suddenly start after the (very unlikely) passage of such an amendment? (1 hour 35 minutes)

• With the value of derivatives, even after the crash, being put at about $4 quadrillion (which is four thousand trillion or four million millions!), why not just put a tax of 1% on them and totally eliminate all taxes on individuals and businesses? (2 hours 40 minutes)

• Is the recent hysteria about “thousands of nuclear bombs hidden all over the US” a story planted by a domestic or foreign intelligence agency — or by some other agent of a foreign power, like the ADL? (2 hours 44 minutes)

Don’t be shy — check in to amateur radio’s historic Liberty Net, established in 1974, every Saturday night — on some clear frequency near 3950 kHz SSB starting at 10PM Eastern Time. Recently the net has been meeting above 3960 to avoid the BBC’s deplorable digital transmissions (which sound like broadband white noise) on 3955. And check out our Internet feeds which can help you copy and communicate with weak stations.

Kudos and thanks go to Vic, W1WCR, for his decades of hard work for free speech and amateur radio!
