THE LIBERTY NET actually took place on 3950 kHz this time — for the first time in several years — and, ironically, this happened on the night we received the news of the death of one of the most egregious jammers in amateur radio history, WA9KJI. The discussions didn’t focus on negativity, though, and the ideas presented were original, wide-ranging, and at turns philosophical, political, and humorous.

Here are some of the concepts brought forth and issues debated on amateur radio’s historic Liberty Net this week:
• The latest “stimulus” bill has nothing to do with boosting the economy, and everything to do with ruling by decree: No one will even be able to read the complete text of this pretended law until after it is passed. (44 minutes)
• Did you know that millions of dollars earmarked for identifying dead victims of the 9/11 attacks were stolen by the Indian nationals who were hired as the program’s administrators in the name of “diversity”? (50 minutes)
• The government program that heavily subsidizes the wages of “new hires” (those who have been looking for work for six months or more) has only succeeded in initiating a churning process in which workers are continually fired once the subsidies run out on them, and more “new hires” are then added. This means that taxpayers are continually supporting the profits of the businesses engaging in the churning, and workers are more insecure than ever. This can be very profitable for the unethical businesses: Fire 10,000 workers, then get $4,000 per worker in subsidies — and receive a total of forty million dollars! (1 hour 1 minute)
• All of the regime’s “solutions” for unemployment involve subsidies, taxation, regulation, and maintaining the huge current labor surplus. The only real solution is never mentioned: Eliminate the huge supply of illegal Mestizo scab labor, and wages and employment would zoom up instantly. (1 hour 10 minutes)
• Back in the 1950s, when there was still a substantial American faction in Washington, Mestizo invaders were sent back across the border to their home countries on a mass scale in an effort openly referred to as “Operation Wetback.” (1 hour 15 minutes)
• The annual cost of air conditioning alone for the American cannon fodder in Iraq and Afghanistan is over $20 billion. That includes huge costs for transporting fuel — but it’s still some $200,000 per soldier per year! One could build a lot of houses for newly-impoverished middle class Americans with that money. (1 hour 19 minutes)
• It was easy for the Libyan rebels to identify Qaddafi’s mercenaries — many of them were imported from sub-Saharan Africa. Huge numbers of them — the ones who survived, that is — have now been herded into concentration camps, and one hears remarkably little about it. (2 hours 15 minutes)
• The regime in Washington is now refusing to pay municipalities for the costs of jailing illegal immigrants — which means that many thousands will simply be released. (2 hours 18 minutes)
Remember that you can find — and check in to — the Liberty Net on a clear frequency around 3950-4000 kHz LSB every Saturday night at 10PM Eastern Time, or you can listen live on the Internet via N2SAG or N2IRJ, or listen at your leisure via the mp3 files posted here at https://3950.net every week. (For a few weeks the N2SAG feed will be down; please use the N2IRJ feed instead.)
Thanks to W1WCR for running the Liberty Net, and thanks to N2IRJ and N2SAG for giving the net a great online presence.
