THANKS TO MARTY, N2IRJ who stood in as Net Control Station (NCS) on this week’s Liberty Net, when Vic, W1WCR had to be away. Marty is also the regular NCS for the Midweek Liberty Net, which takes place every Wednesday at 10PM Eastern Time. When you check in to these nets, your callsign will be placed on a list and then, after check-ins are completed, each station will be called upon for comments in the order in which he or she checked in.

Here are a few of the ideas brought up on this week’s Liberty Net, along with my comments:

• A police officer in a major US city predicts massive civil disobedience — or possibly even civil war — if Hillary becomes manager of the Jews’ “federal government” in Washington and tries to further abrogate the Second Amendment. And, he predicts, in any such conflict many policemen will side with American citizens and will openly defy the Washington regime. (28 minutes)

Liberty-Net---thoughts-take-flight

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE LIBERTY NET is now approaching its 40th anniversary and over almost all of that time it has been led by Vic, W1WCR — who, impressively, is still the Net’s present net control operator! The Liberty Net is a social network, a free speech forum, and a true amateur radio institution.

Here’s a small sample of the concepts and issues debated on the net this session:

• Google Glass allows you to wear a special pair of glasses and see Internet content, take pictures, get directions, and other functions while navigating what is still called “the real world.” Some jurisdictions have banned these glasses, ostensibly for safety and privacy reasons. (25 minutes)

• Intel has come out with a new V-PRO processor chip with its own separate invisible operating system and separate invisible 3G network access. This could allow “maintenance access” to help an engineer fix your system — but who else, from the government or otherwise, might also tap in? So far, only Intel has this feature. (31 minutes)

Liberty-Net---Hallicrafters-receiver

NOW THAT Standard Time is in force across the US, propagation for the Liberty Net should be continent-wide even at the start of the net — so Western stations, try checking in this week!

Here’s a small selection of the many ideas debated on the net this time:

• The people running “Obamacare” now promise that, really for sure, their Web site will be running by late November. Are you absolutely certain that these are the people in whom you want to entrust your life? (11 minutes)

• With the ever-lower cost of USB hard drives, there’s no reason not to make rolling backups of all your computer’s data and protect yourself from hard drive failure, fire, and thieves. (25 minutes)

Liberty-Net---spectacular-radio

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

AMATEUR RADIO is not only a hobby — it is a community. In my life, it has brought me into contact with some of the best minds and kindest people I have ever known in my life, many of those being participants and leading figures in the highest-IQ and most warm-hearted net in the history of amateur radio — the Liberty Net. Check in and join us this week!

Here’s a small selection of the many ideas debated on the net this time:

• An increase in the “national debt” of $328 billion in one day! Just another proof that we have government by, of, and for the bankers. (7 minutes)

• Another “enrichment of our culture” coming from African immigrants is the practice of “breast ironing,” which involves the flattening (and permanent deformation) of adolescent females’ developing breasts with hot irons, stones, and other objects. (10 minutes)
