SOON WE’LL be adding a list of interesting books that have been discussed on the Liberty Net. The new page will be accessible via the tabular menu at the top of this site under the heading “Books.” Look for it soon!

Here’s a small selection of the comments and debates put forward on the net this session:

• Why did the FCC allow the lobbyists to change the rules, which now allow the importation of plasma television receivers which radiate huge amounts of RF interference all over the HF spectrum? (30 minutes)

• A recent book, Debtor Nation by Jim Staack, discusses an America in the not-too-distant future in which everyone is required to be in debt, including “life starting loans” for newborns. (35 minutes)

AS SUMMERTIME approaches, it’s time to check out your transmitting antenna system: make sure it’s a quarter wave high or higher and a half wave long or longer if horizontal; and a quarter wave long or longer with an excellent ground system if vertical. And use that amplifier! When dealing with the higher absorption and static levels approaching us on 75 meters, and when dealing with a continent-wide net, maximum signal strength is necessary.

Here’s a selected sample of the concepts introduced on the net this week:

• As America becomes a Third World nation, complete with poorer and poorer genetic quality and lower intelligence, the SAT examinations are being “dumbed down.” (15 minutes)

• Why do some countries, realizing the value of their most intelligent young people, use their natural resource revenues to pay for their college educations? — while here in the US, we virtually force our young students into crippling “student loan” bank debt for a decade or more? This is especially destructive when we consider that this severely depresses the birth rate of the best among us. (18 minutes)

Liberty-Net---Radiola

MOST WEEKS these Liberty Net articles are based on the Saturday evening flagship session of the net, but on some occasions, as on this one, I base them on the Wednesday night Midweek Liberty Net session. If you haven’t checked out (or should I say checked in to?) a Wednesday net session, give it a try this week!

Here’s a selected sample of the concepts introduced on the net this week:

• As summertime band conditions approach us — with their higher absorption and higher static levels on 75 meters — it’s more important than ever for net participants to use high power and high, efficient antennas whenever possible. (5 minutes)

• Think that illegal US government spying on Americans just started recently? Think again. Though it’s gotten worse since the misnamed “Patriot Act,” it’s been happening for many decades. (11 minutes)

FEWER AND FEWER Americans get their news from the controlled media — and more and more are watching and reading alternative news sources not under the thumbs of the oligarchs. Check in to the Liberty Net, and you can speak directly with intelligent consumers of — and contributors to — the free media that have bloomed in recent years.

Here’s a very small sample of the concepts discussed on the net this week:

• Think “digital rights management” of mp3 music is annoying and ridiculous? It gets worse. Even coffee machine manufacturer Keurig is now adding features that will prevent you from using any other brands of coffee, filters, or cups in future models of their coffee brewers. (16 minutes)

• When Microsoft ended support for Windows XP recently, thousands of banks who use the operating system were left in the lurch. When hackers develop new exploits for XP, Microsoft won’t being providing any patches or fixes. (19 minutes)

N2IRJ, Marty, continued to operate as Net Control Station for the Liberty Net this week. Marty also has a phone patch available for participation of those without on-air facilities. Use the contact form on this site if you’d like to be put on the air via the patch.

Here’s a very small sample of the concepts discussed on the net this week:

• It turned out to be illegal for the NSA to collect and save the webcam images of millions of Yahoo users. No problem, though: The NSA just hired GCHQ, the British spook agency, to do it for them. Hat tip to Edward Snowden for this news! (9 minutes)

• A new study shows that mixed race children are far more prone to mental health issues than are children whose parents are of the same race. (11 minutes)

N2IRJ, Marty, capably performed all Net Control Station duties during this week’s Liberty Net, taking the helm from W1WCR who had family obligations. Thanks Marty!

Here’s a select sample of some of the concepts and ideas debated and discussed this week:

• Uber-oligarch George Soros is not only giving money to violent factions in Ukraine, but is also giving money to US Republicans who oppose the grass-roots Tea Party factions. (33 minutes)

• Why is the Pope demanding that Europe take in huge numbers of Third World “refugees” — and utterly failing to demand that Africa and Asia do the same thing? (47 minutes)

THIS WEEK the Liberty Net welcomes Steve, N8WGM back to the airwaves after many years of being off the air — and we also give our thanks to N2SAG and N2IRJ for keeping Steve’s interesting commentary on the net through their excellent phone patches.

Here’s a small selection of some of the ideas brought up on this week’s Liberty Net session:

• The recent death of Shirley Temple brings to mind the much healthier entertainment world of the Old America — compared to the disgusting debasement of, say, Miley Cyrus which typifies our era. (9 minutes)

• With Comcast/NBC buying Time Warner, we see even further consolidation of the very few media companies which control almost all that we see and hear — with Jewish media dynasties even more solidly in charge. (13 minutes)

IT LOOKS LIKE participation in the Liberty Net and the Survival Net is up with the new unified start times for all nets of 10PM Eastern. This helps western stations have take advantage of nighttime propagation, will work better as the longer days approach us, and the ionosphere seems to be doing better now around that time.

Listen: Liberty Net 2/1″]

Here’s a selection of some of the subjects on this week’s Liberty Net session:

• The banker’s regime in Washington is now proposing a “retirement account” called “My RA” which forces people into investing in worthless government bonds, which pay interest below the current inflation rate and should therefore be renamed “certificates of guaranteed confiscation.” (11 minutes)

• We’ve had the “war on poverty” and the “war on drugs” and the “war on terror” — and they’re all fake. But what we really have is a war on liberty. (15 minutes)

THERE ARE few things better than cozying up to your shortwave gear in a warm room on a cold Winter’s night and talking with your friends on the Liberty Net. And ionospheric conditions have been improving 75 meter propagation lately, making the enjoyment even greater. Don’t forget that the Midweek Liberty Net (on Wednesdays) and the Survival Net (on Sundays) have changed their start times to 10PM Eastern.

Listen: Liberty Net 2/1″]

Here’s a selection of some of the subjects on this week’s Liberty Net session:

• One of the most popular broadcasts of the recent “State of the Union” address was Alex Jones’s — and Jones gave a continual, and hilarious, running commentary during the speech. (6 minutes)

• There are still classical orchestras and choral groups throughout our nation, but they are less known than in previous decades, largely because the billionaires’ media put much more emphasis on ghetto/trash “culture.” (13 minutes)

THE LIBERTY NET is one of the most courteous nets around — not tied to one particular frequency, the net always strives to avoid interference by being frequency agile.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The Survival Net and Midweek Liberty Net have switched their start time to 10PM Eastern Time effective immediately.

Listen: Liberty Net 1/25″]

Here’s a small sample of some of the ideas brought up for discussion on this week’s Liberty Net:

• The continual issuance of debt-money — “quantitative easing to infinity” — has seriously inflated the stock market, and when the oligarchs are forced to slow the flow, expect the market to fall. (5 minutes)

• Some malls have been forced to set up fake storefronts so the place doesn’t look quite as abandoned as it actually is. (13 minutes)
