PERHAPS THE LIBERTY Net could also be called the Philosophy Net, as there were many deep and reflective comments from participants this week.
The net — moderated by Vic, W1WCR and recorded by Marty, N2IRJ — proved itself once again as a bastion of free and unfettered speech.
Listen: Liberty Net recorded 6-19There was some jamming of the net this week from one deranged individual who used gutter language and pretended to be a participant, but he didn’t fool anyone. Here’s proof in the form of an mp3 file that the jammer is the same (identified) individual who jammed the Marconi Net earlier the same evening:
Listen: Liberty Net jammer IDedHere is a tiny sampling of what you’ll hear on this week’s Liberty Net recording:
• If we gave the Chinese salvage rights for the spilled oil in the Gulf, how long would it take before it was all cleaned up? One month? (2 hours 52 minutes)
• Almost unmentioned by the controlled media, a huge American/Israeli war armada has passed through the Suez canal on the way to Iranian waters. Is another illegal Middle Eastern war about to begin? (2 hours 55 minutes)

THIS WEEK’S Liberty Net was 99 per cent. clear of intentional interference, as the jammers folded up their tents in the face of innovative techniques for getting Net communications through.
Listen to or download the Liberty Net recorded June 5The Liberty Net, on the air since 1974 and led by Net Control Station W1WCR, is one of amateur radio’s most venerable and historic nets — and it is surely the most intellectual and exciting.
Here are just a few of the highlights of this week’s discussions:
• The Bilderberger group — an organization for the management class of the oligarchy — met from June 4th through 7th in Spain, with the main agenda being how the current economic crisis can be used to impose “true world economic governance.” (6 minutes)

THIS WEEK the Liberty Net had some of the most heartfelt and engaging remarks — and some of the cruelest and crudest flagrant illegal interference — ever heard on amateur radio.
The Federal Communications Commission is supposed to protect us from intentional interference. The place to send your reports of jamming of the Liberty Net is fccham@fcc.gov — and their telephone number is 717-338-2577.
According to N8WGM, they also request that you send them recordings of the jamming to support your complaints. The address for recordings to be sent is FCC Enforcement Bureau, Amateur Radio Division, 1270 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg PA 17325. Especially interesting — to us at http://3950.net as well as to the FCC — would be reports from those getting a local ground wave signal from a jammer.
Listen to or download the Liberty Net recorded May 29Here are just a few of the highlights of this week’s discussions:
• The amazing story of a recent Norwegian immigrant who came to America looking for liberty — and who was deeply saddened and disappointed by what he found here. (4 minutes)

THERE WAS a coordinated effort to jam the Liberty Net with noise and obscenities this week, and, although some of the intentional jammers had strong signals, the use of alternate frequencies and multiple Stickam.com audio feeds made sure that the Liberty Net communications came through. It’s truly shocking how little control — or even interest in control — the FCC has over these flagrantly illegal and illegitimate operators.
Listen to or download the Liberty Net recorded May 22Here’s a small sampling of the topics covered on this week’s Net — topics that someone doesn’t want you to hear about, apparently:
• According to a report in the EU Times, the Russian government has intelligence showing that the Gulf oil spill was the result of a submarine attack, and that Obama ordered a news blackout immediately after Washington learned of the event. (20 minutes)

LATELY there’s been some real disagreement and debate on the Liberty Net, the longest-running discussion net in Amateur Radio history. Some participants believe that virtually all politicians are liars and totally corrupt servants of the moneyed oligarchs, except perhaps for a tiny number of right-libertarians like Ron and Rand Paul, and populists like James Traficant and Eliot Spitzer. Other “Liberty Netters” believe that the only exceptions to criminal politicians can be found in left-progressives like Dennis Kucinich and the late Ted Kennedy. Is this conflict resolvable? The two sides also have diametrically opposed views on the Tea Party movement. Will patriots who oppose the oligarchs ever come to a consensus? I don’t know, but the free speech and cross-fertilization of ideas are bracing and thought-provoking.

A scan of Harvey's signature from one of his many "care packages"
by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO
THANKS to Mike, ex-N3GVA, some precious audio files were recently rescued, and we once again have access to the recordings of W8MPB, Harvey Heinz, made during his final days with us in March, 1999. We also get to hear KE2LO, W9OAG, N8ECR and other voices which we sorely miss on 3950 these days.
