Liberty Net: February 27, 2016

Liberty-Net---radio-wavesby Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE LIBERTY Net is amateur radio’s longest-running current events discussion net, on the air since 1974. We have a few participants who have been taking part for decades, and every week there are first-timers too. Why not visit us this week and check in?

Listen: Liberty Net 2/27

Here is my take on a few of the subjects discussed and debated on the net this week:

• There’s at least one good thing about the election season — it sets up millions of people for total disillusionment when their “heroes” turn out to be cynical liars or money-puppets or both. And a good dose of disillusionment can lead to healthy radicalization. (48 minutes)

• It’s hard to believe that anyone could work up any enthusiasm whatsoever for dead-fish Israel-lobby-owned phony-religious-nut Ted Cruz. (52 minutes)

Liberty Net - clockby Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

WHILE MUCH OF North America is buried in a thick mantle of white snow, radio conditions have been as good as travel conditions have been bad. So warm up your radio shack with a crackling pine log and your rig’s glowing tungsten filaments, and travel via the magic of the Kennelly-Heaviside Layer — and share ideas with the new friends you’ll find on amateur radio’s Liberty Net.

Listen: Liberty Net 1/19

Here are a few small examples of the ideas discussed on the Liberty Net this week:

• If the alleged lawmakers in Washington and in statehouses throughout the land fail to read and heed the Constitution’s absolute prohibition of even the slightest infringement of the people’s right to defend themselves with arms — even from the police or “US government” troops if necessary — someday they may find themselves arrested and charged by an aroused citizenry. (16 minutes)

• If anyone needs to be disarmed, it should be those who operate — and those who order the operation of — the lethal drones that are being used by the Washington regime to kill innocent children even as we speak. (19 minutes)

Liberty Net: April 7, 2012

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

DO YOU HAVE an idea that you’d like to share with other intelligent, thoughtful radio amateurs in a free, uncensored setting? Why not check in to the Liberty Net? If you can’t check in because you’re temporarily off the air, send a message to us via the contact form at https://3950.net and we’ll pass it along to Marty, N2IRJ, who runs a lively phone patch during the net each week.

Listen: Liberty Net 4/7

Here are some of the interesting ideas brought up during this week’s session of the net:

• Obama’s press secretary Jay Carney recently explained that what many people see as lies, evasions, and perjury by the regime’s figurehead are simply his “speaking in shorthand,” adding that, after all, “he is a law professor.” (24 minutes)

• Sanford, Florida, where the George Zimmerman – Trayvon Martin altercation occurred, is a very “diverse” place which is listed in the bottom three per cent. of places to live based on safety.  (27 minutes)

Liberty Net: February 26, 2011

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

A COUPLE OF INSANELY OBSESSED would-be jammers made obscene catcalls and played noises during the Liberty Net this week, but even the lowest-power and furthest check-ins were able to overcome them and communicate an amazing array of ideas and new information to the other net participants.

Listen: Liberty Net 2/26

Here are just a few of the subjects discussed and debated this week on amateur radio’s longest-running and best discussion net:

• Was the killing of four White Americans — three of whom were amateur radio operators — by savage Somali pirates revenge for the recent sentencing of another Somali pirate? It is reported that some 30 ships and about 600 captives are still being held by these pirates. (15 minutes)

• Why does Obama meet with lobbyists in a small complex just off the White House grounds? Simple: If he met with them on White House grounds, the lobbyists would have to sign Secret Service logs, which are required to be released to the public. (20 minutes)

Liberty Net for Week of January 2-8

The Liberty Netby Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE FIRST SESSION this year of the weekly current events discussion Liberty Net on 75 meters was a big success and more thought-provoking than ever.

It looks like Net Control Station (NCS) W1WCR and company may well have the biggest year in the three-decade-plus history of the Net.

Here is a small sampling from the topics covered in this week’s discussions, along with the time when they took place (from the beginning of the recording in hours and minutes):

Listen to or download this week's Liberty Net

• There is no significant difference between Democrats and Republicans and the sooner Americans realize this the better. (33 minutes)

• Are you looking for a new political party? Perhaps White Americans should consider the Black Panther Party — substituting “White” for “Black” in their historic platform produces a most appealing document, proving that the desire for freedom and self-determination is universal. (39 minutes)

• The economic crash and “bailout” is really the looting of America: It wasn’t loans to low-income folks that crashed the economy. (45 minutes)

• What we really have is finance capitalism for most of us and socialism for the super-rich. America can rightfully be called the “billionaire bailout society.” (53 minutes)
