Liberty Net: November 5, 2011

W1WCR RETURNED as Net Control Station of the Liberty Net this week as a five-day power outage came to an end, and the N2IRJ phone patch brought a welcome new voice, K4HZY, to the net’s airwaves, among many others.

Here’s a small sample of the items discussed this week on amateur radio’s most exciting net:

• Gangs of Black “youths” — ironically, at Detroit’s Rosa Parks bus station — have been beating and robbing bus drivers. Not to worry, though: In the most recent incident (which has sparked a work stoppage among terrified drivers) the Detroit police did arrive to help — 30 minutes after the blood started to dry. (34 minutes)

• Why were citizens arrested merely for taking pictures of Wisconsin legislators — when those very same legislators empower bureaucrats to photograph and spy on us constantly? Government is supposed to be our servant, not our master. (51 minutes)

Liberty Net: October 29, 2011

THIS WEEK’S AUTUMN SNOWSTORM killed electrical power and damaged trees in Hudson, New Hampshire, temporarily putting W1WCR, the Liberty Net’s Net Control Station, off the air. But Marty, N2IRJ, stepped into the breach and kept the conversation flowing. This week also marked the reappearance of long-time net participants N2SAG, WB8RAV, and N8WGM via N2IRJ’s new phone patch system.

Here are some of the ideas discussed and debated this week on amateur radio’s longest-running discussion (as opposed to traffic, or mere rag-chewing) net, on the air since 1974:

• How does the addition of 50,000 “contractors” — a better word would be mercenaries, if not hit men — constitute a “withdrawal” from Iraq? (43 minutes)

• It is reported that J.P. Morgan alone holds $90 trillion in derivatives. Not only is this highly speculative form of “wealth created out of nothing” a time bomb waiting to go off, but it makes one wonder just why the banks didn’t bail out themselves — instead of ripping off the taxpayers. (45 minutes)

Liberty Net: March 26, 2011

LIBERTY NET check-ins continue to grow in  number, and N2IRJ’s repairs to his receiving system allowed him to catch them with good quality despite the increase in atmospheric static that comes with the advent of Spring. The fourth simultaneous US war in the Middle East, started by a supposedly anti-war president, was a major subject of debate. Add in the comments on diverse subjects ranging from the humorous to the deeply philosophical and you end up with a most enjoyable and educational experience.

Here’s a small sample of some of the ideas that were discussed this time on the longest-running discussion net in amateur radio:

• A Bush-appointed judge in Florida may be setting a precedent by allowing an issue in a $2 million lawsuit there to be settled via Sharia Law. Meanwhile, the Florida legislature is considering a law to prevent any judge from doing that. (20 minutes)

• An recent initiative in California would require all public schools there to teach students to admire, even revere, homosexuals, transvestites, and their pathological behaviors. (23 minutes)

Liberty Net: March 19, 2011

THE CHAT ROOM that N2SAG runs during the Liberty Net got a visit from some probably paid (and not very competent) disruptors who tried (for less than an hour, so, if their employers are reading this, don’t let them bill you for more!) to conflate support for “our troops” into support for the oligarchs’ latest illegal war. Needless to say, it didn’t work. But you can expect any patriotic effort that exposes the crimes of the regime in Washington to draw such attention from the pension- and salary-drawing agents of America’s enemies.

Here are a few highlights from the latest Liberty Net, the longest-running discussion net on the amateur airwaves:

• Why is such a large part of the wealth of America concentrated in the 400 richest families, many of whom are of Middle Eastern origin and consider themselves a special, separate people? And why has this same group decided to spend so much on bombing their erstwhile ally Qaddafi, while impoverished American grandmothers are starving? (15 minutes)

• If the disaster in Japan had happened in urban America, there would have been mass orgies of looting, rape, and murder such as we saw in New Orleans a few years ago. But in Japan, none of that occurred. Could it be that Japan has been wise to absolutely prevent all immigration of violent Third World equatorial populations? (25 minutes)

75 METER CONDITIONS CONTINUED to be excellent for the Liberty Net as Spring approaches, but the band’s crowding — partly caused by DRM interference — required considerable frequency flexibility, and the net found itself on 3993 kHz, which turned out to be a nice clear frequency. Our thanks go out to the 3993 late night operators who courteously allowed the Liberty Net to use their customary spot on the band.

Here’s a small sample of the subjects discussed this time on amateur radio’s most exciting net:

• Will the tsunami-related power plant accidents in Japan be used to kill nuclear energy use in the West? (2 minutes)

• The manager of the nation’s largest bond fund has now dumped all of his holdings of US government bonds. (12 minutes)

• At least 145,000 public school teachers were physically attacked by “minority” students in 2008; over 12 per cent. of all city teachers — and some of these were also raped. Why was none of this mentioned when Obama’s “anti-bullying” campaign was launched with so much fanfare? (21 minutes)

CONDITIONS WERE EXCELLENT for the first March session of the Liberty Net this week, and a wide variety of views were presented, sometimes passionately, on subjects as disparate as the union conflicts in the Midwest and animal rights.

[wpaudio url=”https://3950.net/recordings/LIBERTY%20NET%20%20%202011%20March%205th,%20Saturday%20%20%205h%2055m%2059s%20%20%20Source%20%20N2IRJ.mp3″ text=”Listen: Liberty Net 3/5″]

Here’s a sampling of what’s on this week’s recording:

• A sane and representative government would rescind NAFTA and other “free trade” agreements which force our workers to compete with slave-labor Third World peons. Instead, though, such agreements are being aggressively expanded. (48 minutes)

• Why are some jurisdictions outlawing all photography of police activities? What are they trying to hide? Isn’t photography — and the publication of said photography — protected by the First Amendment? (1 hour 45 minutes)

Liberty Net: July 31, 2010

CONDITIONS were excellent this week on the Liberty Net, and so were the conversations. Check-ins spanned the entire eastern half of North America. Here are just a few of the highlights from this week’s most exciting net on the amateur radio bands:

• Obama made a recent statement on “The View” that most Blacks in America are “mongrels.” If a White person had made such a statement, the media would have gone into overdrive and there likely would have been rioting in the streets. (12 minutes)

• Maxine Waters can be properly described as the Communist representative from California, now that she has openly stated that all businesses should be seized by the government. (24 minutes)

• Why are the bank failure announcements always made late on Friday? — in hopes that they will no longer be “news” by Monday? So far, despite the “happy talk” from the regime in Washington, the bank failure rate is almost twice as high this year than in 2009. (26 minutes)

Liberty Net: June 26, 2010

SOME VERY DEEP analysis of world events was heard this week on amateur radio’s most exciting net, the Liberty Net — along with strong dissenting views. Intentional interference was almost entirely absent, as the jammer identified during the last net session has apparently slunk away in shame.

[wpaudio url=”https://3950.net/recordings/LIBERTY%20NET%20%20%202010%20June%2026th,%20Saturday%20%20%205h%2016m%2000s%20%20%20Source%20%20N2IRJ.mp3″ text=”Listen to or download the Liberty Net recorded June 26″]

Here is a small sampling of what you’ll hear on this week’s recording (the times given are when the subject was brought up, timed from the beginning of the recording):

• An 86-year-old woman was recently tasered in her bed by a police-uniformed thug who didn’t like her “attitude.” Is such evil a consequence of the brutalization of our young men, caused by ordering them to commit atrocities in the Middle East? (3 hours 50 minutes)

PERHAPS THE LIBERTY Net could also be called the Philosophy Net, as there were many deep and reflective comments from participants this week.

The net — moderated by Vic, W1WCR and recorded by Marty, N2IRJ — proved itself once again as a bastion of free and unfettered speech.

[wpaudio url=”https://3950.net/recordings/LIBERTY%20NET%20%20%202010%20June%2019th,%20Saturday%20%20%205h%208m%200s%20%20%20Source%20%20N2IRJ.mp3″ text=”Listen: Liberty Net recorded 6-19″]

There was some jamming of the net this week from one deranged individual who used gutter language and pretended to be a participant, but he didn’t fool anyone. Here’s proof in the form of an mp3 file that the jammer is the same (identified) individual who jammed the Marconi Net earlier the same evening:

Here is a tiny sampling of what you’ll hear on this week’s Liberty Net recording:

• If we gave the Chinese salvage rights for the spilled oil in the Gulf, how long would it take before it was all cleaned up? One month? (2 hours 52 minutes)

• Almost unmentioned by the controlled media, a huge American/Israeli war armada has passed through the Suez canal on the way to Iranian waters. Is another illegal Middle Eastern war about to begin? (2 hours 55 minutes)

W1WCR’s new antenna — a 165-foot doublet held up by 100-foot pine trees — provided even more intense signals than usual for this week’s session of the Liberty Net.

Conversations on the historic current events discussion net ranged from the hidden aspects of politics to spy numbers stations to shortwave radio propagation and the mysteries of women.

Here is a small sampling of what you’ll hear on this week’s recording:

• New York City schools have come up with an innovative way to close the “racial achievement gap” — they simply give partial credit for wrong answers. (2 hours 44 minutes)
