Liberty Net: July 21, 2012

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

WE LIVE IN A STRANGE country where you need to prove your identity and origin twenty times over to get a driver’s license — but not to be President; a country in which leaders and aspiring leaders fall all over themselves to promise to defend the eternal sanctity of Israel’s borders — but care not a whit for our own. But there are rational people who recognize the insanity for what it is, and speak out about it on amateur radio’s Liberty Net, which has been serving the public interest, convenience, and necessity since 1974.

Listen: Liberty Net 7/21

Here are just a few of the ideas introduced for vigorous debate during this week’s session:

• In Germany and Switzerland, there’s a move to ban the barbaric Middle Eastern rite of circumcision. Will the law be directed only at one Middle Eastern religion, though, and exempt another? (13 minutes)

• Saying that “guns” killed people in that Colorado theatre is like saying that rolling pins and cast iron skillets commit domestic violence. In truth, if we had a more well-armed population, much individual and government violence and mischief against us would be eliminated — the bastards simply wouldn’t dare. (17 minutes)

Liberty Net: July 14, 2012

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

MURPHY’S LAW May be part of the inherent structure of reality, and it impacts radio stations as much as it does anything. Murphy struck N2IRJ this week, causing a shorted power supply transistor, so the phone patch was off the air — but the over-the-air participation was high, especially for a Summer session, and the Liberty Net discussions continued at a high level.

Listen: Liberty Net 7/14

Here are just a few of the topics introduced for discussion and debate during this week’s session of the net:

• The oligarchs and their pet legislators are trying hard to push ratification of a treaty that would ban private ownership of firearms, in an effort to nullify the Second Amendment. Remember, these folks are the same people who have spent multiple millions to arm Mexican drug cartels and Israeli murder squads, so they’re not at all against violence. What they are against is your ability to defend yourself from tyranny. (16 minutes)

• Several thinkers have come out with innovative ideas to liberate us from legislative tyranny: jury nullification, the citizen’s veto, and the right of individuals to opt out of the regime’s “programs” and pretended laws. (39 minutes)

Liberty Net: July 16, 2011

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

IT’S AMAZING to listen to the Liberty Net — not just for the wealth of uncensored information that you and others can share there, but also for the decades-long friendships that the net has brought into being. It all started in 1974, making it the longest-running serious discussion net on the amateur airwaves.

Listen: Liberty Net 7/16

Here’s a brief summary of some of the topics covered this time on radio’s most exciting net:

• How can Barack Obama — who broke every promise he ever made about the economy; who broke every promise he ever made to end the wars; who broke every promise he ever made to poor people — still garner support from a third of the polled electorate? The answer: pure racial politics, which, like it or not, is the inevitable wave of the future.  (34 minutes)

Liberty Net: July 9, 2011

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE LIBERTY NET is a profoundly optimistic  intellectual phenomenon. It represents true free speech, the best part of the spirit of amateur radio, and “social networking” that preceded the invention of that phrase — and social networking can bring down oligarchs, and erase bad laws and bad government, in an historical blink of an eye. Check in this week and share your uncensored thoughts!

Listen: Liberty Net 7/9

Here’s a brief selection of some of the topics debated this time on amateur radio’s historic Liberty Net:

• As America’s bankruptcy looms, why are the criminals in Washington talking about cutting pensions and necessary services by billions, but are not discussing cutting foreign aid by so much as a dime? (13 minutes)

• When so-called conservatives pitched a fit over Obama’s signing of the renewed “USA Patriot Act” with an auto-pen — but made no objection to the Act itself — it was a clear sign that conservatism is dead, dead, dead. (24 minutes)

Liberty Net: September 18, 2010

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE TOTALLY BOGUS nature of the Republican establishment was a major focus of the Liberty Net this last week of Summer, and propagation coöperated to make the dialogue audible across most of the continent.

Expect even better conditions as the Fall season approaches and static dies down.

Listen/dl Sep. 18 Liberty Net

Here’s a small sample of the items discussed this week on amateur radio’s most exciting net:

• The criminals in Congress are seriously discussing seizing private pension plans and forcibly merging them into the bankrupt “Social Security” system. (20 minutes)

• Did you know that a “dirty capitalist” American business owner made two recent broadcasts over Radio Havana in Cuba? And did you know that he was a regular Liberty Net participant? (37 minutes)

Liberty Net for Week of May 15-22

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

GOOD propagation helped the conversations on the Liberty Net this week, and the range of information and opinion presented was impressive. One participant ridiculed those who question the authenticity of Obama’s alleged birth certificate, while others on the Net believe it’s a phony — and Kenyan claims that Obama was born there buttress that belief.

The stations that tried to disrupt the Net last week with crude remarks — but got no takers — resorted to transmitting random sound effects. But the legitimate participants ignored them and they had little effect, except to encourage a brief switch in frequency.

Here are some of this week’s highlights, as recorded on May 15th by N2IRJ:

• As the utter bankruptcy of the United States proceeds apace, California is paying all those due money from the state with possibly-worthless IOUs — and Illinois is paying nothing. (56 minutes)

• Are the riots of Greeks who oppose globalization (and who oppose the austerity programs that the banks are demanding in order to pay back their questionable “debts”) the moral equivalent of the Black riots in the US incited by Martin Luther King? (59 minutes)

Liberty Net for Week of May 8-15

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE WEEKLY Liberty Net continues to offer some of the most interesting and thought-provoking QSOs to be found anywhere in amateur radio.

There was some intentional interference this week, but the illegal jammers got no takers for their obscene and illegal interjections, and soon dried up and blew away.

Liberty Net for Week of May 1-8

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE WEEKLY Liberty Net was on the air in fine style this week, with lots of debate and controversy over politics, finance, the invasion of America on its southern border, and the malicious use to which the tragic oil spill might be put by foreign forces determined to keep America militarily engaged in the Middle East.

Here are some of the topics discussed on the Liberty Net recorded by N2IRJ on May 1st:

• Has John McCain been replaced by a well-groomed look-alike while the real McCain vacations in Fiji? (1 hour 3 minutes)

Liberty Net for Week of February 13-20

by Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE LIBERTY NET was attacked by multiple jammers this week — stations purposely transmitting sound effects and unidentified rude remarks and obscenities — but, despite all the efforts of the would-be censors, the Net participants brought off one of the most interesting and thought-provoking discussions yet.

Listen to or download this week's Liberty Net

Jammers are less effective than ever, because listeners have multiple ways of hearing the Net these days: They can listen on their own receivers, or, by logging in to N2SAG’s Stickam site, listen to N2SAG’s or KC0OW’s receivers (or others that are sometimes available), or tune in via N2IRJ’s feed which is also recorded and archived here. With multiple receivers hundreds of miles apart — some with steerable-null antenna arrays — it’s possible to minimize any intentional interference. Furthermore, N2SAG is building an e-list of monitoring stations which he’ll be coordinating when the jammers are on the air. Using triangulation and propagation clues, along with the technical and behavior “signatures” of the jammers, many will be identified and removed from the air. Listen to the Net for more details.

The Liberty Net is the longest-running current events discussion net on amateur radio, and is one of the most venerable gatherings of amateurs on the air. It’s a bastion of free speech and free inquiry. Here are just a few of the topics discussed this week:

• It’s crazy for people to state, as some media “conservatives” have, that they “miss Bush.” Obama is just Bush on steroids. You can’t cure out-of-control spending and borrowing with more out-of-control spending and borrowing. (21 minutes)

• The SPLC probably won’t be making an anti-White cause celebre out of the shooter at the University of Alabama: she is Jewish and the SPLC, though it pretends otherwise, is not objective in such matters. Gun bans at universities, by the way, make it almost impossible to stop such crazies. (27 minutes)

• Goldman Sachs has colluded with corrupt elements in the Greek government to conceal the true extent of that government’s debt, in a scam that could devastate the European Union. (47 minutes)

Liberty Net for Week of January 2-8

The Liberty Netby Kevin Strom, WB4AIO

THE FIRST SESSION this year of the weekly current events discussion Liberty Net on 75 meters was a big success and more thought-provoking than ever.

It looks like Net Control Station (NCS) W1WCR and company may well have the biggest year in the three-decade-plus history of the Net.

Here is a small sampling from the topics covered in this week’s discussions, along with the time when they took place (from the beginning of the recording in hours and minutes):

Listen to or download this week's Liberty Net

• There is no significant difference between Democrats and Republicans and the sooner Americans realize this the better. (33 minutes)

• Are you looking for a new political party? Perhaps White Americans should consider the Black Panther Party — substituting “White” for “Black” in their historic platform produces a most appealing document, proving that the desire for freedom and self-determination is universal. (39 minutes)

• The economic crash and “bailout” is really the looting of America: It wasn’t loans to low-income folks that crashed the economy. (45 minutes)

• What we really have is finance capitalism for most of us and socialism for the super-rich. America can rightfully be called the “billionaire bailout society.” (53 minutes)
